I have been unable to download this app to my iphone 5. When I access google and then HSBC Mobile Banking App, I get two options: Apple App and Android App. I click on Apple App and get a blank page, nothing happens. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I need this app to make transfers from my US HSBC bank to my Thai bank. Previously these transfers were made over the internet, but HSBC has now added an extra step requiring a smartphone.

Sorry can't help with the mobile HSBC app , yesterday I made a transfer of money from my UK HSBC bank to my Thai bank , over the internet and did not see an extra smartphone step any where , may be its only for USA HSBC banks , but I would be interested to see a link outlining the new extra step requiring a USA HSBC customer to have a smart phone, as you never know it may be coming to UK HSBC customers .

I am guessing the extra step means token? I am an Android user from Brazil, been using HSBC Mobile Banking for over 2 years. Will be moving to Thailand next month.

If you have an iPhone I'm surprised you're not posting in the ThaiVisa APPLE Forum.

Some app installer links are meant to be accessed from a computer running iTunes, while others will link directly to the appstore.

If these links don't work or you are unsure about the app that appears you can also choose to open the AppStore or PlayStore applications yourself and search for HSBC (or HSBC Mobile Banking). Oddly enough, the Google Android app is not compatible with my Android Smartphone running JellyBean.

HSBC Bank USA Requiring Two-Factor Authentication for Some Transactions

HSBC Bank USA now requires retail customers to use two-factor authentication for certain online transactions. Retail customers will be required to use the additional technology for money transfers, wire transfers, and account beneficiary changes. Customers may choose between a hardware token or a mobile application to generate the additional security code. The bank will supply the technology at no extra charge.
