Thank you very much for your kind words.   What makes the forum great and work well is you, the members, with your knowledge, information and contributions.  And to be sure, the many moderators help keep the forum moving in the right direction.  

 

To answer a few questions, no I don't get 20% off at the Lounge, but I think all Thaivisa members can get 15%!   Try it and let me know.   I don't want to discuss to many things, but you can rest assured I am not the least bit afraid of Immigration or the Labor Department people.   I can't say that's true for the local constabulary though.  I'd post my full resume/CV, but like a lot of people it's got way too enhancements -- you guys would catch them and then my life would unravel.

 

And yes, the News Team probably trumps everyone.   They work their butts off day in and day out to keep us all updated.   Without them, we would be limping along.

To be honest, maybe as bizarre as it seems, the mods don't get much thanks, mainly putup with a lot of nonsense and complaints. I myself am certainly no saint on the forum - Scott could confirm that. However, without them, there wouldn't be a forum, so a few thanks and compliments every now and then isn't such a bad thing.

I suppose we could petition for ND to become a mod though.

You must live in a different world, because I know a lot of existing forums where there are no moderators to remove every second post.

#1. Don't be a tool.
#2. I spent over 2 decades of my life being a moderator in the real physical world where I was punched, kicked, spat on, wrestled, stabbed 3 times and shot at & that's only part of the story. I could go on but that's for another thread about why I went mad.
#3. I can assure you due to #2 above I have no desire to moderate anything, especially in the virtual world of douchebags with the odd nutcase thrown in amoungst a couple of dozen (max) normal people.
#4. Last but no least, my papers here at TVF were marked long ago & rightfully so. If George & Co. We're foolish enuf to give me some keys then this would be a very different 'closed forum' and they'd have to hire a larger cool room for the bodies to be stored in.
