Any coffee shop near the gate with free fast internet?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Does any know a coffee shop in Chiang Mai near Tha Phae gate that has free internet that's actually fast and reliable?  Going there for a week but will be working online also.  The hotel internet is too slow for me to do my work.  Any suggestion would be awesome.

Thanks

I think both The Coffee Club and Black Canyon Coffee - literally across the street from the gate (and each other) - have fee wifi with purchase of food/drink, though I cannot attest to the speed. Attached to Coffee Club is a Burger King and it also has free wifi that I found perfectly adequate, even for watching a short video.
The Coffee Club has a very good speed, and probably the best coffee in Chiangmai !

Try one of the Wawee shops sometime. Also very good coffee, IMO.

According to one of my cheapo buddies. The Burger King Coffee is just as good for 35 baht as opposed to 90 baht at Coffee Club.
He takes great pleasure in going to BK every day and sitting in the window as close to CC as possible and "getting the same view for 1/3 of the price".
