Cheers DaveThailand. It was the Europeans and USA/Canada that I was after. I heard that there was a difference between Europeans and USA/Canada but I agree why is it more for USA/Canada? Anyone know........

Hi people,

I am planning to get a job in BKK. As a half Thai from Europe I found it very interesting to read about the minimum salary. Is this generally known with the companies? Is there any document I can fall back on in the salary neogotiations? Your help would be really useful. Thanks a lot!

Don't forget the minimum salaries are designed with tax in mind not what people are actually entitled to be paid.

They are to ensure a minmum level of income tax is paid by business owners. Another way to try and stop people using dummy companies to own stuff in Thailand
