my wife does teach thai - we are in East Acton, West London, but she can come to student anywhere in London.

You should contact the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, where there is an excellent language centre. They have many language courses including several in Thai. Of course expect to pay a fee. You could also contact them to see if any of the Thai tutors are willing to do private tuition.

There used to be Thai classes held at Wat Whateveritscalled in Wimbledon. Also, I'm sure if you go into any of the Thai restaurants in Kingston or wherever, some of the Thai staff there should be able to point you in the right direction.

Wat Phuttapatip in Calonne road Wimbledon. Used to be an old Thai guy run a free class on sunday around midday. Was not easy for beginners though as very much freestyle with no actual structure to class and very much around written Thai and how words spelt. I used to go there but must have been about 8 years ago now since I last went so dont know if still available.
