Is there any place that can be recommended ? Preferably inside the old city or on the way out to Arcade bus station. Thanks for some input here.

There are about 4-5 shops on Tapae Rd that specialise in watches / timepieces. Very good, not too expensive.

About half way down the road i guess. Near the AIS building for memory.

Also on Chang Puak road near where all the banks are and near a songtaew station there are several shops. Also very good.

My wife had her Seiko wrist watch cleaned and the battery replaced at Central Kad Suan Kaew 550 baht.

Yes they are about 30 meters up the street going towards the river on the same side of the road that the old AIS shop used to be in.
