Is this in Thailand ? If yes, do you know this guy ?

Featured Replies

A friend shared this video on Facebook today and I can't believe how stupid this guy is. Also it looks like it happened in LOS isn't it ??

Seen the same thing or similar many times here. The best was a big fat german trying to impress his mates on a rented harley at the lights. Loads of revs, dropped the clutch then drove straight across the road into a shop front. I couldn't stop laughing !

I don't though get what this guy is trying to do ?

Looks like Thailand. Can't see the plate to get the province.

Possibility it is a fake due to no aftermath and very loud movie-style crash noise. Crashes are often more of a thud. But probably real.

No, I don't know him. If the vid is real, he is a knob and noob.

If it is real, it looks like he failed to see that the fence is considerably nearer than the main road. If he looked at the cars on the main road, he would have planned to stop several metres after the fence and then realised too late and braked very badly causing the bike to skid.

And then, we have the cheek to blame the Thais, for stupidity.

It looks very much like Tescos main shop on the bypass road in

Phuket. And it looks like the Thais are getting really desparate

now they are renting bikes to blind tourists. cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

I hear of many stories like this.

This is why it is hard to test ride bikes everywhere in the world.

Some people grip the throttle and forget they have to let it go as they panic.

The place is Tesco Lotus Samkong, Phuket. In the picture you can see the Aphrodite Show Theatre. If I knew this guy I would not advertise the fact, it would lower my social standings. Hope the guy survived?

Watched a Taiwanese lad rent a quad on Koh Samet. He shot out of the shop, across the road, up the kerb . . . and straight up a tree! Wouldn't stop holding the throttle back until he'd successfully climbed said tree and fallen out of said tree backwards.

Another, out of the same hire shop, girl from the UK, rented a scooter, shot out of shop, across the road, up the kerb and straight into the Buddha image.

JAFW! Just Another Fw King Wan Car!

I particularly liked the way he used his feet to assist the braking. Yeah, like that's gonna help.

And love the "stiff arm" riding style, which prevented him from not only rolling off the throttle but actually rolled it on more as he applied more front brake.

The Prat probably thought the left lever was a clutch. The only thing missing to make this a truly classic video was a Chang singlet. w00t.gif

It looks like he was test riding the scooter, doing a figure of eight, acceleration and braking. Guess the last bit was a fail. Wonder if he had to buy the scooter or tried to claim that the brakes are faulty thus not having to buy it.

Is this a wannabe rider i wonder ?

Is this a wannabe rider i wonder ?

I doubt it. Wannabee riders wear full face helmets plus jackets, pants and riding boots. Also, wannabee riders don't know how to countersteer around obstacles.
