Featured Replies

My wife, (53) a born South African, is looking for a native english speaking expat living not far from the Chatuchak area to coach her in elocution/ pronunciation. If you think you are capable and have experience, please PM us and we will contact you.

Thanks,

The Wattana Wittaya Academy has no Elocution training. Thanks anyway for mentioning it.

My wife has a full teaching day and needs a private Brit or Aussie who can take her after school hrs. and weekends.

Her English is perfect, but with the South African accent, makes me irritate her all the time. For example, she cannot pronounce "milk" the way I do. We have found one, in the UK who does it via Skype.

Its not the British accent that she is worried about, but not to be labeled as south African the moment she speaks three words. She still talks about Robots when she means Traffic lights.

Calling traffic lights "robots" has nothing to do with elocution. I did the same for years when I left SA, its just a habit, you get out of over time
