Here is an interesting recent article on what's happening in shopping malls in USA. Are there parallels with Thailand? Consumers in both countries up to their necks in debt

I think the only possible connection one can draw is you don't like either place. How you can work an American bash into a thread about malls in Chiang Mai is beyond belief.
