looking for qualified carpenter for polishing and varnishing

Hi,

it's about time to get my balcony furniture worked on in order to get rid of traces of usage. It consists of two chairs (see pic) and a table.

Now I'm looking for qualified people to polish and varnish these three wooden pieces of furniture.

Does anyone have an idea where I will get good value for money service from a carpenter, either private or company, in Bangkok?

Highly appreciate your answers.

Best regards,

Rasta in Peace

Too be perfectly honest you dont need a carpenter.

You want a painter or chang see in Thai.

First question is, it may well be cheaper just to trash the furniture, I dont know what type of wood it is.

You dont want it polished and varnished.

Go to HomePro and buy some coarse and fine grade sandpaper, a paint brush and some wood preserver, total cost about 1,000 baht.

Take the coarse sandpaper first and sand it down, brush off the debris, then the fine sandpaper, now brush off the residue.

Now apply the wood preserver, next day apply again.

Should take you no more than 3 days to do the lot.

I do this quite a bit back home. I do all the woodwork in Chaindrite dark (wood preservative) first off, then a blend of Chaindrite dark with TOA boat varnish (1 part chaindrite/6 parts boat varnish), then a top coat of TOA boat varnish.

Very cheap to do it this way. A 5 litre can of Chaindrite is around 500 Baht and the same for 5 litres of TOA boat varnish.

That covers an awful lot of wood.
