3 month extension only stamped 60 days

Featured Replies

Normally (99%) of the time I always check documents before leaving. Perhaps it was the long wait and overcrowding however I have only just realised that my last 90 day extension was only stamped to give me 60 days - which is ending in a few weeks. If I go back to CW will they fix it? Or is there a reason why I would have only been given 60 days? I'm currently on an ED visa and this is my last extension before leaving to apply for a new visa.

Cheers

Was this your 3rd or 4th extension?

I think the 4th extension is 60 days.

An ED-visa is now no longer extended beyond 1 year from date of entry, unless you go to a regular school.

After 1 year of staying you must now leave the country and apply for a new ED-visa.

It might be this or they indeed gave the wrong stamp.

I suspect it is correct. They don't make mistakes on extension stamps,

I suspect that was up to the date that the MOE documents allowed or the date your one year total ends.

My one year (12 months) ended Aug 16. This was my 4th extension (Aug - Nov). Instead of stamping Nov 16 they stamped Oct 16.

Seems like a mistake, you can try to have it corrected at CW-road.

I had a friend went for her 4th extension and received 60 days.

When she questioned it, immigration showed him the dates on the letter from her school was for 60 more days.

Check with your school before going to immigration.

Strange a 1 year visa education visa could be extended for 14 months but I think this has also changed.
