Lawyer recommendation for starting a legitimate company (Chalong)

I'm looking for a good local lawyer who can help with the full company set up process. Ideally, one in Chalong but anywhere in the south would be fine.

I would prefer to use a lawyer that someone here as previously used for this precise purpose and preferably, someone who they still currently use.

Thanks in advance.

Why use an expensive lawyer. Just go and speak to the director of the gov company registration office near the vehicle licence office in Phuket Town. That's what we did. Very helpful, all legal, and not so expensive.

I think for convenience it is easy to use somebody to sort thos out for you, but I would recommend to use an accountant or business advisor, not a lawyer.

I'll send you a PM tomorrow with the information of the company I'm using.

The office is called panit changwat. They will give you a list of documents you have to submit in order to establish the company ltd.

Thanks guys.

I currently do not have a Thai partner so will most likely need a lawyer for this part. I'm pretty sure I can't set this up myself without one. If an accountant or business advisor can help with this, then any leads on these would also be appreciated.

The OP is currently running another thread about the design an construction of a retail store.

Putting the two threads together, I suspect he is looking at setting up a Thai Company, with the use of a Thai nominee, for the purpose of controling the business and possibly owning the land the shop will sit on.

Very risky, and illegal.

Thai company, yes. Owning land, no.

Aside from gong into business with somebody I do not know and giving control to them, what other options are there for starting a business?

You could go into business with someone you do know, but don't trust.

You could go into business with someone you do know, and think you trust. (make sure you live on the ground floor) smile.png

Then there's my favourite option, don't go into business here and save yourself a lot of grief, and money. biggrin.png

unfortunately that involves actually having the capital/personnel/ salaries/social security registration and real accounts. Those are all things these muppets try to avoid,
