Surin to hold its famous elephant show

SURIN, 20 September 2014 (NNT) The Northeastern province of Surin has invited tourists to its annual elephant show, which will be held on November 5 to 16.

According to Surin Governor Niran Kanlayanamit, the event is aimed at promoting local culture and tourism. In addition to elephant shows, visitors will be treated to magnificent traditional and modern onstage performances. There are also a trade fair and an exhibition on the relationship between local ethnic residents and their elephants.

Niran said each of this year's show of elephants and their mahouts will be better than those in the past, given it has been redesigned to be more exciting and shorter than those in the past in order to better entertain viewers.

Visitors who wish to gain unforgettable experiences watching or playing games with well-trained pachyderms can reserve their tickets at Surin's Tourism Office from now on.

Just wondering how many of these elephants have to walk to Sisaket and other cities, with money begging freaks holding a tiny plastic bag of food in front of your nose, in favor for these amazing animals???

When will they actually start to protect an endangered animal? But I guess we all know the answer..........facepalm.gif

For myself. I do not know what it is so special and great. All this is just a big rip off people without end. Hotels, food, drinks everything is completely overpriced. And no benefit for the elephants.
