I just came back from dropping mine off. I was really happy with the bike and the guy I rented it from- very helpful, easy negotiation, dropped it off and full deposit in hand with narry a glance.

He seems to have all shiny new automatics [were they Suzukis?] that drive very well. His stand is on Beach Road halfway between soi 13 and the Starbucks on 13/1. Take note of where the vendors are parted enough to allow for an open air restaurant and bar behind and his bikes are out front

He's about as stocky a Thai guy as you're likely to find.

I know him............he's sound.

Can only endorse jimmys post, I have used "Mai Pang" several times now, no problem with refunding the bt 1000 deposit, quick to come out if there is a problem with the bike, and as stated, very friendly lady and speaks good English.

If Jomtien is too far to go, they have a branch somewhere behind the Big C on 2nd road Pattaya.

Lou.

For manyyears I've hired small m/c from Somkeat the bike he is based on second road on the right travelling up just before the turn for the Royal palace hotel you see his m/c parked everywhere they are the one with circular discs of different colours of paint on the leg shields or mudguards.Never had a problem and he always remembers me and gives me a good discount.

That's why i stopped using Mai Peng. Yeah, they come out to fix them but they should be more reliable in the first place. I found the shop next door "Easy Rider" far better and with more modern bikes. I have never had one break down on me yet. Gin, the lady who works there can speak excellent english (and german), no problem with money and can drop off and collect. pm me if you want the number of the office.
