I spilled 7-up on my 5 year old MBP keyboard a few years ago. The esc, 1/2/3 buttons don't work. Obviously i use the little virtual keyboard when i need these keys.

Now, is it possible to have them fixed in a shop in Pattaya? (i live in Rayong city so a tek to Bkk is an overnight job for me) or, as some have told me, i'm better off buying a new laptop as the cost is expensive?

The bad news is that the fix is a new keyboard. It is unlikely that yours can be repaired probably the acid and sugar has corroded the traces. Replacement isn't too difficult but not cheep.

More than likely. I'll get a new customised MacBookAir and use the old MBP as back up. Cheers
