kinmaew Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 A Judge does this? Who appoints Judges? I would be more worried who that person is. 1
Popular Post siampolee Posted September 30, 2014 Popular Post Posted September 30, 2014 Might be interesting to look back at some of the cases he has passed judgement on and who might be a trifle upset at the deceased judges decisions. Marvelous investigation techniques, no mention of suicide notes etc and the police verdict is suicide. They would be wise to get these ace sleuths involved in the Koh Tao case as their talent for investigation is indeed amazing.Reckon the Koh Tao case would be solved in less than an hour 4
slipperx Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Thai judges can be 25 years old. Not sure how old this guy was but I don't think many people have the experience to be a judge at that age - a minimum of 40 I would have thought would be prudent. How does a young man understand body language and demeanor of witnesses? Sad about his wife may she find peace at least.
BSJ Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 It's a crazy world! Being a judge puts you in the club of privileged and connected people. Why throw it all away??? 1
johnlandy Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Suicide? Tragic. RIP Why would you wish that the guy RIP? He should go direct to hell. AND what hope is there when a member of the judiciary is a murderer to boot? 1
soalbundy Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 A Judge does this? Who appoints Judges? I would be more worried who that person is. so even the judge had no faith in the justice system and went for a divorce Thai style.
toybits Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Very baad for IMAGE of the Justice League... 1
Kabula Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 A Judge does this? Who appoints Judges? I would be more worried who that person is. Priceless post! We are all concerned who that person is! No doubt the little lady pushed him over the edge! Probably displaced anger from his girl friend ragging on him. RIP
Nemesis7 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 What sort of Judgement is this??? By the way, seven sort bullets? And two dead bodies?? Hmmn

But just for some perspective, in some countries, UK for example, there is no minimum age requirement.

JOC Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 A Judge does this? Who appoints Judges? I would be more worried who that person is. All judges are formally appointed by the King. So I think we better leave it!

cloudhopper Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Kudos to the bib for solving this one.
slipperx Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 A Judge does this? Who appoints Judges? I would be more worried who that person is.All judges are formally appointed by the King. So I think we better leave it! They are not appointed by the King. We are talking ordinary judges who take the law exam and then choose to follow the lawyers path or prosecutors path or judges path. Additional study and exam is one further year. They receive their certificates in a ceremony much the same as University graduates receive their degrees. After passing and if accepted as a judge they go into sitting under the guidance of a more experienced judge. Commonly as there are so many cases in the court and not enough judges, a new young judge will often take the evidence with very little overseeing being done. He will then discuss the case with the senior judge, one would hope, and hand down the judgement. The youngest judges are those most capable in their study group. The issue is their experience of life and ability to assess the veracity of evidence which is the only point I am raising.
ratcatcher Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 What was he doing owning a Pistol ????? He was Thai and was a member of the judiciary. Not a problem to own/possess a gun here in LOS. (Land Of Suicides.)

My nephew is going through it. I don't think he will be doing too much solo judging on anything serious for quite a while.
