Featured Replies

Hi,

I would like to use a 3G Dongle as WAN backup on my router.

My router can handle it but I need to input additional information such as :

UMTS PIN :

Access Point Name :

User Name :

Password :

It would be great if someone as these information for TRUE and AIS.

Thanks by advance,

Matthieu

Most routers that can use a 3g device auto connect or submit a profile from the ROM aboard the aircard. I always switched between true and dtac without doing anything but plugging it in and setting the side switch to wan fail over to 3G or plan 3G. If you plug the aircard with sim into a PC or laptop and use the software it has on board the card you can pick the information off the screen

UMTS PIN :

Access Point Name :

User Name :

Password

and more

Generally you need to do nothing in the router, all the settings are in the dongle. For example here's the information that is displayed in my router regarding the 3G backup dongle, in essence, nothing!
