Best shipping option?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I need to ship about x4 Gorilla Boxes (hard coffin cases w/wheels) back to the UK, amongst a couple of misc. items such as a beanbag and some painted canvas' etc and just wondered if anyone has recently used any of the companies that offer sea/air freight??

I shipped stuff over this way from London Heathrow a couple of years back, and have spotted that DHL and some more obvious ones offer services but thought I would see if I could glean any top tips from you guys. Obviously cheap is good, but reliability and door to door is admirable.

Thanks in advance.

Funny how everyone on here is an expert on all things, except this, was hoping to see an answer too.

I am shipping several cubic metres from Pattaya to Sheffield. Send pm and I will reply with full details.

DHL did me good shipping 2 Gorilla boxes and another cardboard from Afghanistan to Thailand. Not even a customs inspection.

Prices were reasonable but they are always expensive from the sand box. England should be cheaper.

Ok I've heard good things about them, thanks.

Last time I used the UPS system so they went from Afghan - USA - Thailand!! Pretty hefty cost.

Thanks for the info, people.

just looked at DHL site it says over 4600 baht for five kilo to UK, sounds pretty expensive

Woah, that does sound pretty expensive... probably even more than excess baggage on the passenger plane.

This company looks good, albeit they don't give general prices, but appears more of a 'house move/removal' business and would tie up loose/awkward shaped items.

I will be sure to pass on info.
