Mobile Phone Shopping

How do prices for new and used mobile phones at the various shops in Singapore compare with MBK in Bangkok? I know on other imported goods, e.g. name brand athletic shoes, Singapore is at least 20 % cheaper than Thailand because they don't have the extortionate tariffs and was wondering if you can expect the same deal with phones.

MBK is very cheap. But, thats because almost all the phones are refurbished second hand units.

Singapore would be my first choice if you are thinking of buying new stuff.
