Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lens Cleaner (Boston) by Bausch and Lomb

Featured Replies

For those who need them ... FYI ...

You can buy Boston Rigid Gas Permable Contact Lens Cleaning solution by Bausch and Lomb for your RGP lens at SMART EYE, 21-23 Suthep Rd, Chiang Mai. It's directly across from the Department of Faculty building at the Chiang Mai University.

We bought this solution today. The cost: $12.18 US.

I go online to ebay and buy; Dream Eye made in Korea for 599 baht with free shipping for 350 ML lasts about a year, it is a soaking and wetting solution for Hard contact lenses or RGP. best value I have found.

I've been using B&L and Q-Eye solution for soft lenses for the last 3 years. They seem to do the trick although the lenses are supposed to be replaced every year & I'm worried they're going to break in my eye; plus they're based on a 5 year old prescription so what I really need is some new ones. I asked in Top Charoen & they mentioned ordering from Germany but I've never followed it up.

Is there anywhere in Thailand that makes RGP lenses?

In response to the question about RGP lens manufacture in Thailand, you might consider asking the folks at SMART EYE, 21-23 Suthep Rd, Chiang Mai. They speak English well. They might know the answer to your question.

The Smart Eye shop is still there but they no longer carry Boston products, or any products for hard contact lens. Stopped yesterday and discovered this unfortunate fact. :(
