Being Sakon Nakhon I think your choices will be limited.

Go to Fastcar hire on Google. I've used them several times & always better than dealing direct with the actual rental companies.

I've rented a pick-up in Sakon before 1100 baht daily. I'd give directions but thet would be vague at best.

800 baht rental sounds legit.

Check your insurance situation if you rent from a private guy or a back yard renter. I appreciate the BIG name rental companies are a bit more expensive but you know you are fully insured.

Just to up date (Car Hire Sakon Nakhon)I did hire a car for 6 days 800 baht per day full tank of petrol

deposit paid 5000 baht 0850002388 Mr.Korn no problems

Not a new car so no worries regards scratches or small dents.
