re

people want to change the weather, which, apparently, is no problem for local citizens.

Serious money and a packed house at B&B on the moat lastnight for the show. One mans loss os anothers gain.

I guess I'm a little slow this morning. B&B? We went to Huan Baan Boran and it was maybe 30% full. Usually packed on Loy Krathong.

As another poster suggested on another thread, why don't you learn how to use the quote button? I like your posting content, but the formatting is hard to follow.

B&B ?

There must be a complaint for everything that happens in Thailand.

Since it is so bad here, why are you not still living in the paradise you came from?

Actually where I came from is a paradise of sorts (Vancouver Island) and I would go back in a heartbeat, but my wife is involved in a growth business here that is doing extremely well.

Nothing to complain about, however, ChiangMai is anything but a "paradise".....nice place to visit though.

Do feel sorry for all the Loy K -festival-goers this year as it does look to be 'ki-booshed'.

Good news....the 'cool' season should kick in after the rain.

10-day forecast is 50-80% chance of rain....everyday.

Don't know where he got that from. Not according to most forecasts. I quickly perused 2 of the most popular. Maybe 4 days; not 10.

Every 10 day forecast ever made sucks. It does look like a fairly deep low out over the Andamans with another weaker low drawing it our way so it's certainly possible. I'm enjoying it but I don't have to go out into the fields and salvage the damaged rice in it.

Feel especially sorry for all the sidewalk merchants, parade and entertainment participants and workers slogging around in the rain putting in the displays. Have always appreciated the effort the goes into making a good show.

If you go to the top of any thaivisa.com page and place your cursor over "MORE" one of the links that pop up will be weather. From there it's easy to find your way to the Chiang Mai weather report.

Makes me feel like im in NZ, only difference i dont have a car to go and get some fish & chips

As of 9:00 PM Thursday night, looks like a break in the rain, and now lots of Khom loys are in the sky. It all works out.

Incorect. The party is in full swing. The sky is a lite.

About 1/4 of the usual number of people at the temple party last night.

In CM tourists are gonna party no matter what the weather, but the locals just don't go out.

Nah, no internet.

Paradise definitely has high speed international internet without downloading restrictions.

Well this has turned into an exciting thread. I firmly believe it is going to end when it ends. Don't know why any one would listen to a weatherman. They have been guessing wrong for years.

It is lightly sprinkling near Thapae Gate. Thanks for the warning!

Tipping down or what!

Torrential rain in MaeJo at this moment.

Loy, Loy, Loy, Kratong, glug, glug, glug.......

Absolutely pouring in Sansai. Oh well I guess we'll pass on L.K. this year. I do feel sorry for the small vendors.

Hear on the moat some rain but not major. Tourist and locals in a party mood. Floats and entry lining up and your vendors are ready and selling
