GMAIL worked perfectly well until a minute ago. And now only a few white flashes. Under Settings ,Manage Apps = disabled and enabled plus restart the HTC One, No change.

Did just that No change ,I then Disabled and Enabled , still nothing, all other apps seem to run ok.

How to un-instal and re-instal Gmail , without losing bookmarks etc?

Gmail, normally shipped as a 'system' application, can't be uninstalled

-- but the 'updates' can be uninstalled, allowing you to go back into the PlayStore and download a fresh update.

Not funny. Play Store same symptoms now = white flashes. Tried everything in Settings. Nothing works. Went to Google search asked for download Gmail.com. It worked but only the simplified version

Sounds like computer issues.Try another computer to confirm.Happens quite A bit.Ya might think A website is down.

If you use another computer you see the website is up and running fine.Ya might need to do some work on the computer.

Um, the OP posted in "Mobile internet and devices", stating they're using Apps on an HTC One, which I'm guessing by the Forum is a mobile device.

Though, if you have any solid suggestions on what work they might do to get their computer working again I'm sure they're take it into consideration.

My speed is 13Mb, out of the blue no more flashes on Gmail window plus the small Logo and menue sign are visible, otherwise the page is virgin-like white. Fashes on Play Store remain

This is getting weirder by the minute. I tried to tricks gmail and play store out. By re-installing both

A similar issue can be caused by a Downloads manager app/service in the 'disabled' mode. To clear:

System Settings > Apps (Application Manager) > ALL > Downloads [may be at extreme bottom of list]

( Enable )

( Clear Cache )

( Clear Data )

--> Sometimes the app/service gets disabled causing apps that rely on it to crash.

If the top button displays ( Enable ), currently in 'disabled' mode, Then press it to 'Enable' the app/service.
