Pebbles / Stones

Featured Replies

Mrs N47 has decided to "rework" part of our garden .

She's wanting to replace part of the grass with pebbles/stones (approx 60 to 70 sqm to be covered )

Any ideas of the best place to buy ?

Thx in advance all.

Just past the Sarakul sports stadium but before Thai Hua School. Left side next to the 7/11 there is yard that stocks all kinds of decorative stones.

Buy them by the ton and delivered on a tipper. Not in separate old rice bags. End up costing you double.

Only a few places sell in bulk like that. Kwang rd corner near wecafe does it if my brain remembered correctly.

You probably already know this but, consider using a few layers of thick plastic sheeting under the rocks to help prevent weeds and grass growing through.

Thanks Hans , asked the mrs to google the place in Thai and it seems you are spot on.

Quite alot of Thais saying the same thing , thx.

Just another question , anyone have an idea what the formula would be to work out the amount needed ?

I.E xm X xm = x ton ?

Allow for a minimum depth of 10 cm (4"), so L X B X .01 will give you the M3 quantity (best going with cubic metres rather than tonnes).

Don't they sell in cubic meters? Area 65m2, thickness 5cm

65m2*0.05m= 3.25m3

Or if it's by the weight then multiply that with about 1.75kg/m3 = 5700kg.
