Shock in Donetsk: Chinese Fighters Caught Battling for Russia!
Christ, if they picked up a British soldier, at any point in history, you would hear a stunning range of accents and patois, and varying commands of English. Wellington called them the Scum of the Earth, and was proud of them, in response to a French officer pointing out the educational differences between British and French troops. As is true in many wars, mercenaries are attracted by on the one hand, wanting to fight the good fight (George Orwell in Spain) and those just in for the money ("Colonel" Callan in Angola). The latter often attracts individuals from the more deprived parts of society, with or without military experience. I'm sure the PLA, like all other armies, includes recruits who were otherwise ne'er do wells. Not all join for King/President/Flag/Country. So it make sense that a couple of Chinese nationals rocking up in Ukraine are a few bottles short of a 6-pack. I would say the same for some of the Brits going there; if I was being generous, some seem to be looking for adventure after a mediocre life. There are exceptions of course. -

Poll -- Who will cave first in the momentous China-USA trade war?
From the same crowd that just spent 4 years drumming the "you need a degree in clinical psychology to diagnose senility" bs drum? More proof the left deal in party line narratives with no base in reality whatsoever. Standby for the "youre making stuff up again, nobody ever denied Biden was senile" 😅 -

Coolant all over the car engine bay.
No, and no. Tight. I sprayed the belt with water for one minute whilst running with no change of sound. I topped up the reserve and slowly drove it 15km to a local mechanic that is apparently reputable. Let's see. No coolant hitting the ground, just being sprayed around the engine bay in small amounts. There was no fresh spray visible after driving the 15km. Hopefully it's just a worn seal or pipe. Though if it is the mechanic won't profit off that too much, so one never knows what they're going to do or declare. -

Drunk Drivers Face Morgue Visits in Thai Road Safety Push
During the New Year holiday period from December 27, 2024, to January 5, 2025, there were 2,467 road accidents resulting in 436 deaths and 2,376 injuries. Speeding was identified as the leading cause of these accidents, accounting for 38.9% of the total, followed by drunk driving at 31.6% https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2931765/road-deaths-reach-272-after-6-dangerous-days?utm_source=chatgpt.com During the 2018 Songkran festival, drunk driving accounted for 42% of road accidents. https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/30343266?utm_source=chatgpt.com During the 2023 Songkran festival, speeding was responsible for 36.67% of accidents. https://www.rvp.co.th/newsdetail_en_313.php?utm_source=chatgpt.com So... You are quite right - for the most part, speed itself kills more than drink driving alone... But, the manner in which you isolate speed as a killer while suggesting drink driving is not as serious because "you drive carefully" highlights an extreme level of stupidity, carelessness and outright selfishness. Low speed collisions with cyclists, pedestrians and motorcyclists at speeds as low as 30 km/h (around 19 mph) are often fatal - and thats ignoring the life changing injuries that can be caused. Your lack of acceptance of these basic facts further highlights your mental flaws. -
