Ban Chang

Featured Replies

Not sure about the spelling but I have yet to go.

What can you say about the place?

I know probably small town on the coast, not too far from Pattaya, yes?

Must sees, things to do, places to go, people to see, etc..?

Or simply chill and relax place?

Please and thank you.

Great place to go/be. Enjoy your stay. Smart, relaxed population, good infrastructure, oil&gas money all around.

Do you come for visit or work?

There is also a Pattaya style girly road, you should better avoid...

Ban Chang is a relatively quite place. There are several nice beaches, with restaurants right on the sand...and others set back just a bit. A few golf courses are nearby. A strip of beer bars off the main drag.

It's a very quiet and relaxing place.

some nice locals beaches no boats, jet skies etc, just nice and quiet, some of the bars on the strip do rooms 500 baht ish a night, there are some rooms closer to the beaches.

thanks all

i will have to get there at some point and check it out

sounds mostly if not all good

Now living in Ban Chang. Very quiet. The connected beaches around Payoon have local restaurants on the beach, ok pricing, not bad quality. Worth checking out Phala - head towards Payoon beach, turn right & keep going, left at the lamppost roundabout - keep going to the far end & the road stops. A small, old-fashioned village with daily market, some good restaurants & long sand beach - still not what you'd call picturesque but more of a holiday feel
