Android 5.0 Lollipop: Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Nexus 4 To Get OTA Rollout Starting Nov. 12

By Ajay Kumar

BANGKOK: -- Following a delay, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for The Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Nexus 4 should start to rollout OTA on Nov. 12. News about the delay of the update first came from Artem Russakovskii at Android Police and it was confirmed the Nexus 5 was suffering from battery drain and Wi-Fi bugs that needed to be fixed before Google was ready to rollout the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

With the Nexus 6 also launching on many carriers and getting fresh stock on the Google Play Store, Nov. 12 is the most likely release date to expect the update to start rolling out OTA. It is possible that Google chose to hold back the Android 5.0 Lollipop update by a bit in order to wait until the Nexus 6 got a more full release.

While we’ve been waiting for the Android 5.0 Lollipop release date for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Nexus 4, both the LG G3 and the Moto X are going to beat the Nexus devices to Lollipop. The LG G3 is confirmed to get OTA rollout of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update this week starting in Poland and other key markets. The Moto X (2014) is also getting a soak test rollout that started last week and it will probably get an OTA rollout this week as well.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop release date delay has given other OEMs a chance to beat Google at their own game and jump ahead with their own OTA rollout. In any case, look forward to seeing your Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 or Nexus 4 get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update rollout OTA starting Wednesday, Nov. 12.

How does one go about buying a Nexus 6 in Thailand? Where are they to be sold??

Eventually Dtac will probably have them. Though with the fact they are not hugely subsidized like the other Nexus models they are going to be expensive, probably not as expensive as equivalent i thingys.
