Typhoid booster - in BKK or in Oz

Featured Replies

How much is a typhoid booster in BKK? I don't think it can be done at the Thai Red Cross, right? Wondering if I should get it before spending a year there or before I fly out of Oz.

Are there a lot of cases of people getting Typhoid in BKK?

are you really that concerned ..... you can get a typhoid vacination here in Bangkok at the disease control centre quite easily. Typhoid cases in Bangkok are rare.

Not really that concerned, but better be safe than sorry. I've seen quite a few Thai people walk out of the toilet without washing their hands, one of them in a white chef uniform. Same as a number of foreigners but they wouldn't be the ones cooking the food I eat there.

That problem also exist in west. Try avoid anything not cooked if you suspect that they are dirty.....nothing survives being fried....

The vaccine is quite easy to get in Thailand, less than 1000 THB.
