Bike rental in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

I've just been reading GT Rider, I see there are recommendations there, but wondered if anyone has first-hand experience up there? I'm looking to rent (specifically) a Honda CRF250 for several days, maybe a full week. I won't be needing a tour/guide service, just use of the bike. I have a Thai license if that helps.

Thanks!

POP Carrent has what you need. Bikes in good shape. Both Super Motard style and knobbies.

Just be aware that you can not get first class insurance on the rented bike.

You wreck it, you pay. Gets stolen, you replace.

Other than that, I rented a Versys to see if I liked it enuf to buy.

Will do the same with CB650F.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Tony big bike

no idea if they have the model you want though.

hope it helps

cheers

I can second Tonys Big Bikes. Rented there a couple of times and the service there was very good.

I have heard that 'Lan' at C&P on the East side of the moat is good for CRFs. Some of the companies do give the equivalent of '1st' class insurance and some give assurances of recovery and replacement if there are any problems. Best to spend half a day walking up and down the Northern half of 'Moon Muang' rd and the carriageway opposite, that seems to be where most of the companies are based.

I rented a bike from them on Monday, great guys, really friendly, no fuss. Will definitely be going back to join them for some off-roading next time I'm in Chiang Mai.

Thanks for the recommendation.
