I've noticed this somewhat attractive rate at something called the KBZBank in Myanmar and wonder if anyone has any experience of the requirements needed to be an account holder, and the likelyhood of it actually being a real deal

Foreigners are allowed to open only current accounts, bearing zero interest, if not mistaken.

I go the Tachilek, Shan State often. Went in several banks, asking if I could open an account. Always smiles, and "no. Must be Myanmar person."

One place said it may be possible in Yangon.
