City Life got Hit by a Hacker ?

Featured Replies

Anybody check Pim's City Life site...... Seems it got hit by some hacker..... Is that really the fact????]\\

Hope its not too bad for her......

Could you be more specific as I just checked out Chiangmainews and CityLife. And see nothing unusual.

chiangmaicitynews.com at 1:33pm today

I also got this yesterday morning, then in the afternoon the site seemed to be partially back up.

Then this morning... and now.post-402-0-84504400-1417242880_thumb.jpg

Ah, checked the wrong sites and now also see this. That is a pretty common hack group so hope her IT guys have backups and security updates for their server ready.

I had the same problem but was able to reach the news site by using the link from the CityLife mainpage.

Not the first time PIm has had a problem with her web site/s and hopefully she will be a long shortly to tell us why and what

It was hacked about a week ago. Everything was in Arabic.

Edit: What I saw several days ago was not the same as the screen shot above. Must have been hacked twice in the last week,

Just logged on to Bangkok Post and received a warning on 'Malware' when I tried to open up one attachment.

Isn't a simple restore to get the site back up?

Tried checking in on Pim's City Life site and no good...... sez system maintenance but did she get hit again????

Haven't checked in a few days but something must have happened.

I wish Pim would come on and tell us what's going on.Have a lot of respect for the lady ,writes excellent editorials and not frightened by authority to tell us how it is plus City Life does a lot for charity through their fund raising events

Been this way for the past 5 days.wink.png

Works fine for me - all her websites up and running. Read them earlier today. Just checked again. No problems.

That link does not work, but when I Google "Citylife Chiang Mai" and click on the link, it takes me right there.

This link works for me and I am in Thailand, but I clicked on the link on Google. I'm not sure that it will work here.

It does work for me here, but the one in the post above by yankee99 does not.

Honestly if you get hacked every 2-3 months then it's really about time to find someone to manage the site who knows his/her stuff. Or contract it out.

Which restores the precise same hole they are using to access..

I got hit on a site last year.. And while I have some skills, analyzing the security logs for what technique they were using was beyond me.. Took me weeks to finally close the hole, rid the backdoors, and get it secure again.. Learnt a lot but still.. major headache..
