December 5, 201411 yr Popular Post What a great crowd we have here , Somalian Pirates would be envious of these bandits , on the one hand you've got the Environmental , Wildlife and plant conservation departments all promoting the preservation of Flora fauna and wildlife and in the other hand they are involved in the control of Ivory trade, talk about conflict of interests , you either support the killing of Elephants and the ivory trade or you don't, you can't have a bet each way , now what is it to be. Verdict: Idiots.
December 5, 201411 yr "...deadline for ivory traders to submit their history of ivory trade report, containing origin and destination countries of the ivory tusks..." Along with the requisite bribe. Which is probably the reason no progress has been made".
December 5, 201411 yr As long as there is money to be made in the trade and there is a demand for ivory, then things will continue as is Money is way more important than conservation in Thailand and many other countries Seems to many do not know what they have until it is gone, just look at the tourist and fisheries indistries
December 5, 201411 yr Popular Post but temples full of ivory and ivory sold by monks to locals and tourists is OK...
December 5, 201411 yr They discussed "Thai measures."They said they were satisfied, but there is no direct quote from Scanlon quoting exactly what if anything he did say.
December 6, 201411 yr Thailand should be leading the way what with their so called reverence for the elephant.
December 6, 201411 yr More smoke and mirrors from the cruel men in corrupt offices, shameful given Thailand's affinity with these magnificent creatures.
