Anti-cop protesters flood NYC despite de Blasio’s appeal
By Sean Gubitosi, Aaron Short and Georgett RobertsDecember 23, 2014 | 6:38pm
Over a thousand anti-cop activists tried to shut down Fifth Avenue in Midtown and the Upper East Side on Tuesday– defying Mayor Bill de Blasio‘s call for a moratorium on the demonstrations after two Brooklyn police officers were slain.
Many of the activists took shots at the mayor.
“The mayor says stop that, we say that!” yelled activists, while jumping in place.
...and, these protestors are a real class act...
REPORT: PROTESTERS YELL AT NYPD AT SLAIN OFFICER MEMORIAL
by IAN HANCHETT 22 Dec 2014
CNN Correspondent Sara Ganim reported that a small group of protesters were yelling at police officers who had gathered to pay their respects at a memorial to slain NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos on Monday.
While Ganim said that most of the people who had showed up were paying their respects to the officers, she added “I do, just in full disclosure, want to say that in the last couple of minutes, for the first time today, we’ve seen protesters come out here and start yelling at groups of police who are mourning their slain police officers.”
Ganim continued “it’s just a few of them, Suzanne, and like I said, just in the last five minutes, and they’re quite frankly yelling at a group of police officers who are standing here silently, just looking at the memorial of candles and flowers and posters, and they’re yelling similar rhetoric that we’ve been hearing over the last couple of weeks related to the shooting of — the chokehold death of Eric Garner and the shooting of Michael Brown in Missouri.”

White Cops Out To Get Unarmed Blacks Is A False Narrative
By LARRY ELDER
Posted 06:22 PM ET
In 2012, according to the Centers for Disease Control, 140 blacks were killed by police. That same year, 386 whites were killed by police. Over the 13-year period from 1999 to 2011, 2,151 whites were killed by cops — and 1,130 blacks were killed by cops.
Police shootings, nationwide, are down dramatically from what they were 20 or 30 years ago. In 1968, shootings by law enforcement — called "legal intervention" by the CDC — were the cause of death for 8.6 out of every million blacks. For whites, the rate was was 0.9 deaths per million.

Cop Murders Were Encouraged By Left-Wing Politicians
Posted 06:22 PM ET
Incitement: Leftist groups, whose inflammatory, racialist rhetoric incited Isamaaiyl Brinsley to kill two New York police officers, have made it clear: They'll keep on sowing hate and divisiveness despite the murders.
Democratic leaders, ranging from President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and "civil rights leader" and MSNBC showman Al Sharpton, have been complicit in whipping angry crowds into a frenzy in recent weeks and months.
It came to a head last week at a rally protesting the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner led by Sharpton, where this chant was heard: "What do we want? Dead cops."

Officer Myers told TMZ that he had no control over what Fishell sang—"This is America. We can say what we want."

I wonder if he would have the same honourable views about someone mocking the death of two cops in a badly written skit.

Off-topic posts and replies removed. This is about 2 NY police officers that were killed. Stay on topic. Continued trolling will result in suspensions.

Officer Ramos' funeral will be on Saturday; Officer Liu's will be delayed until appropriate travel documents have been obtained for certain family members coming from China.

The lunatic madman who killed the two NYPD officers went off immediately afterward to blow his brains out, which sums up anything people might need to know about the guy. The NYPD officers who killed Eric Garner, very much to the contrary, were trained and experienced officers certified by the State of New York to keep the peace, so I support Commissioner Bill Bratton in his directive to police for more training in their use of deadly force.

This tragedy needs rational and calm discussion and reflection, to include a greater appreciation and control of the emotions that are necessarily involved.

The daughter of Eric Garner, killed in an NYPD chokehold, laid a wreath at the site --- and said she was touched by the heart-wrenching message Ramos' son posted online after his father's murder.

"It hit my heart," Emerald Snipes, 22, said as she visited the tragic spot at Tompkins and Myrtle Aves. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

"Today I had to say bye to my dad," 13-year-old Jaden Ramos wrote on Facebook the night his father was killed. "It's horrible that someone gets shot dead just for being a police officer....I will always love you and never forget you."

Snipes said she could relate. "I know how it feels in this season to not have your father," she said.

Attorney General Eric Holder has instructed the Department of Justice "to proactively reach out to the families" of the two slain officers to expedite federal cash and counseling assistance the department provides to survivors of fallen officers in any place of the country, officials said.

Woman Drops an EPIC Truth Bomb on NYC Mayor, Sharpton & Obama in Rant About ‘Killing Cops’

“De Blasio, Mike Brown is not your son. Okay, you are the mayor of New York City,” she said. “You just had two officers shot because of your reckless speaking. You stand behind Al Sharpton and he stands for nothing at all.”
