Motor Bike on Thai Trains & Dog friendly accomodation

Any body have experience of taking Motor bike on to Thai Trains ?

I plan to put my bike on Train at Hua Hin to …..Surat Thani or Had Yai

Only ordinary and rapid trains can transport bikes but ask this at this at train station.

Also inform them before when buying the ticket about your bike.

For a cbr250 they charge like 500 thb if i dont remeber wrong.

No need to remove the fuel but dont go there with a full tank.

Many years ago,we wanted to send a bike from BKK to Hur -Hin, got to the Station ,and they wanted the log book for the bike, to prove it had not been stolen,,and we were doing a runner with it.

Looks now they have changed the rules.
