UDON THANI: -- A woman was killed and four others were injured when their pickup truck was rammed by a Nong Khai-Bangkok train in Udon Thani province yesterday.

The incident happened at an uncontrolled railway crossing on Kilometre 553 between Nong Konkwang and Nong Takai railway stations at Ban Namkam in Tambon Non Soong of Muang district of Udon Thani.

Witnesses told police they saw the rear suspension of the modified pickup truck stuck on the tracks while the driver crossed the railway crossing as the train was coming.

Some went off the truck to push it off the tracks but couldn’t make it through.

They then signaled the incoming train to stop but it was too late.

The train rammed at the side of the truck sending it to fall 30 metres away into the bushes.

The train later stopped 100 metres from the crash scene.

Killed was Mrs Ouan Phochaiyoi. Four others were seriously injured.

Uncontolled crossing, rear suspension of "modified" pickup stuck.

One of those lowered down "race pickups" I guess (idiots ride).

The lower the suspension the lower the IQ.
