Cruise Ships visiting Koh Samui in 2015

Featured Replies

Samui is becoming an increasingly popular destination for cruise ships. In 2014 there were 30 visits whereas in 2015 there are 53 visits scheduled.. Many of the ships are regular visitors and return on a number of occasions and range in size from the small Aegean Odyssey at 11,906 tons with 380 passengers up to the massive Sapphire Princess at 116,000 tons with 2,670 passengers. Not as large of course as The Queen Mary 2 which was due to visit in February 2013 but cancelled at the last minute due to “navigational issues” which I would suggest was because someone actually looked at the chart and realised that the nearest anchorage for a vessel with a 10.2m draught was somewhere off Koh Phangan!
