Can anyone inform me what is Thai brand name for Metformin 500mg slow release tablets. I am on the normal stuff and boy does it make me rumble.

Interesting, they are still making that in Thailand. It was withdrawn in many countries.

it says metformin 500mg on the packet , is it diffrent from others , thanks for the info

mine says 'GLUCOLYTE' Metformin 500 MG...... made by T.O. Chemicals [1979] Ltd, Bangkok.

Bought them for past 9 or 10 year, in a white Tub 500 tablets.. cost 299 baht.

That is not AFAIK slow release.

Extended release preps are higher than 500 mg dose.

It was actually "Glucophage" when last prescribed for me in the Kingdom.
