Reliable day care for young kids in pattaya

Well the school has decided all teachers must go to do a course in bangkok so of course they are shuttting the whole school down for 1 week starting Monday..

Does anybody know of a reliable day care in pattaya at a reasonable cost for 1 week, 2 kids 6 and 4.

Could be either a building or a thai person who does it as her full time job from a house but just must be reliable and good with kids.

Will need from 8.45 to 3.45

Thanks

There is a brand new kindergarden place on soi Nongprue near Wat Suttawas (just down from Courtyard Resto)...can't remember the name right now. Maybe they could take in the little mites for the week. There is also a "German Nursery" just up from Suttawas on NPW...down a soi almost opposite Silla Coffee (there is a sign for the nursery). I believe they mean kids and not plants...but you may get back a little Adolf smile.png

Couldn't you just ask around at the school...as all the kids will be at home for the week, couldn't one of the Thai families just take in and look after your farang bundles of joy during the day as well...or don't you trust them?

Unofrtuanlty in 2 yrs of the kids being at the school iv never spoke to any other familes maybe becuase of my working hours but then also they have never been invited to any parties outside of school, shame really but i guess the interaction isnt there like it is in UK

Having dropped my daughter off at preschools in dubai for the first full day today, I'm wondering how long it takes for a child to get used to different surroundings.
She's really adaptable and loves other children but still worry how she's going to cope at 10 month old.
Any thoughts and/or experiences?

God, I feel for you having gone thru this in the USA.

Good luck  I hope it works out, but I certainly do not see this place as a prime spot in the world to raise a kid.

PS:  With this I don't know you but am curious of the Farang who come here, make baby, then complain about schools/education and expect some special place to raise a kid.  Unless you spend big money, Thailand is not a place to raise a Rhodes Scholar.

Good Luck...

At 10 months old... it purely depends on her developing personality. Some kids are naturally more clingy than others.

At 10 months old my son was quite happy being left with with others for an evening etc.

My assumption is that while all children are different, they all adapt very quickly. Leaving your child at a safe facility in the care of professional and loving carers will help your child develop a little independence and confidence.

At 14 months old our Son was left in a Japanese day care while we went skiing, he seemed perfectly happy there.

At 2 years old our Son started attending Nursery School and (starting at 3 mornings per week) and shows that he loves is. Now at 3.5 years old he's extremely confident and happy, cheeky and funny, but also shows excellent levels of empathy towards others.

The best benefit your child with get from pre-school will be mixing with other children and developing these necessary social skills from a very early age.

Certainly there will be no issue.
