I would likely replace it too, but you might want to try one of the hole-in-the-wall shop-house repair shops. They can often fix the boards for a few hundred Baht, including remove and replace.

My 65in LG tv has broken down, twice, and each time i had to have one of the boards replaced, costing about 5,000 baht. It was worth doing because obviously the tv is quite expensive. If i had a sub 40 in tv it's probably not worth repairing, get a new one. BTW the LG technicians number was 063 168 5853 but you might need a thai speaker.
