willfreeman Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 im looking at flights that will have me land at 11pm on a saturday night at suvarnabhui, and then fly out from don muenang to chiangmai at about 630am sunday morning. Will the only way to get between airports at that time be a taxi and how much is it? thanks
daveAustin Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Last A1 bus (free) departs either airport at midnight by the looks and this service still runs. Taxi around 350 baht?
willfreeman Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 well i will try for the shuttle then but doubt i will be clear of customs etc, but 350 for a taxi wont break the bank. I take it taxis are available at the airport all night?
FBlue72 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 My taxi from Suv to DM cost me 700 baht incl 150 in tolls at about 2 pm on Saturday Heads up on the free airport transfer shuttle, you need a print out of your air ticket to use it. I did not have one and of course the printer was out at the internet cafe and then I could not find Air Asia's office, it was on no directory that I could find. Despite 4 calls to Air Asia customer service, and about 15 minutes waiting in line two separate times for someone to help me at the information desk, never did locate Air Asia office in Suv to get such a print out. All I kept being told was, " 6th floor" yet two trips up there, changing elevator at 4th floor -all there was a Bangkok Air office, the staff of which kept insisting " No hab Air Asia office in Suv..." Even after I got the info desk people to call the office, which has no outside phone line I was told ( lied to, it does) some horrible woman would not answer a simple question about where specifically the office was. " 6th floor l told you... 6th floor, I no tell you again... 6th floor " click.... hangs up. Finally out of time had to get a cab. Most frustrating airport experience I ever had Find out later the Air Asia office is at the opposite end of the airport, no way to access it from the lower number entry areas where the airport transfer is at ( also not on the directory) You have to go up to the higher number entry ( from the ground floor at least) No one explained this to me nor could one of about 12 people I asked tell me as I found out later, the Air Asia office is next to the post office which IS on the directory map.
