Who Took All The Water?

The lake or pond outside the main entrance to Outrigger in the Laguna area of Phuket looked almost empty this morning. Never seen it this low so early on in the dry season. Its normally this low just before the April rains come. Perhaps it's being drained on purpose, any ideas?

If other areas in Phuket are suffering similarly low water levels, were in for quite a water shortage.

Anyone else notice surprisingly low levels else where?

Here in Chalong, all the lakes have high water levels.

I just recently checked how much water I have in the well. For this time of year, 2.5 metres would be about normal. The dip showed 3.7 metres.

Seems Phuket's infamous micro-weather extends underground.

Perhaps its being deliberately drained to be filled and built on. There is loads of new construction going on behind it on the vacant lots in the area. It does seem strange that its just this one lake. The next one up the road going north seems to be at its a normal level. Maybe easy access for water trucks to park and suck it up & sell.
