All depends (of course ) where you live and what local gov.outfit involved.

When we bought our first bit of land 2 years ago we only had a dust track to access it but since then the local gov has been all over the place and and laying tarmac/metal roads.

If you look round you will see that they give you the information and contact numbers with dates on the big blue boards usually adjacent to the routes that they intend to upgrade..but dont hold your breath.(in Thai)

When we bought our other bit of land (mai peng) we were under the impression that again the Loc Gov were putting a road through the back end of it to access the National Park next door ...but apparently not... :o

We did have a connecting walking track between the 2 bits but you gotta be fit to do the hike.

Fortunately we had a word with one of our neighbours who sold us 1 rai to access from the new road so all OK.(he can use also to get onto his "estate")

K.W. have been given quotes to hire a bulldozer and and a bunch of guys to level and lay the thing but we are not in any rush at the moment....good for special forces training area :D

...so assuming you own the property yes you can buid a road if leased however suggest you talk to the principal /freeholder first... :D ....
