February 5, 201511 yr Hi all, The house we live in has very old, corroded, dusty and generally horrible fly screens on the windows. I tried to upload a photo three times but without success. But I'm sure you know what these look like: aluminium frame, simple pin-type hinge for easy removal and cleaning, fragile-looking plastic clips top and bottom. Please can you help me with the following: What sort of place will come, measure up and make us new, good quality screens for the windows? How expensive are they? or.........are there better ideas for fly screens on windowsThanks a lot
February 5, 201511 yr Author Thanks. What does a small metal shop look like, he said naively? Can you recommend one, please? We're in Rawai. Cheers
February 5, 201511 yr Thanks. What does a small metal shop look like, he said naively? Can you recommend one, please? We're in Rawai. Cheers There is one is Sai Yuan on the main road, coming from Nai Harn on the left hand side about 200 meters after Tesco, there is one on Viset Road after the traffic lights (either direction). They're cheap.

February 9, 201511 yr Author Thanks all, I went to Jack's and met Jack who spoke very good English. He came round and gave me a very reasonable quote and we went to see some of his work which was good enough for us. No disrespect or accountability attaches to anyone but my visit to Chalong Aluminum and Glass resulted in a 'surveyor' arriving who looked more like a Hell's Angel than a glass expert and said that he was same same as CA&G but handed me a card with a completely different company's name on it......and their quote was 12,000 more. I went with Jack.
