Aust Visa for Kids (not mine)

Featured Replies

I'm applying for Aust visas for our neices and nephew who have lived with us for the past few years and would like some advice. One of the girls has already visited Australia in 2012, together with my wife who has been 3 times now.

The five of us plan to travel early April and will stay with my sister.

I'd appreciate any advice with the application, below are some of the info that will be included:

- Photos

- Form 1257 Undertaking Declaration (to be completed by my sister)

- Form 1229 Consent Form (signed by mother)

- School documents to show the kids have been living with us.

I was told there is also a form needed from the Amphur which has to be signed by a parent or alternately the parent could sign in person when applying for the visa? Does anybody know about this? Also, are the any changes or extra measures in place due to last year's surrogacy scandal?

Any help is much appreciated.

I would think to write a submission stating the kids live with you and explain the situation to be clear about what your intentions are. Explain your current circumstances etc. Don't just rely on the forms only.

Thanks. Can anyone else offer advice? I'm particularly concerned about new developments since the surrogacy drama.
