Stephen Paine.

PHUKET: Well-known property developer and long-time Phuket resident Stephen Paine passed away unexpectedly but peacefully this morning (February 21).

For almost two decades Stephen was a respected and admired member of the Phuket community.

His property development achievements included Surin Heights and the Malaiwana Estate.

Stephen was a generous, compassionate and loyal friend to many on the island and will be greatly missed.

Details of Stephen’s funeral rites will be announced shortly.

Unfortunately, looks like they were right. Pity.

RIP troubled man.

A beautician told me last night that "the owner of Surin Heights" hung himself.

She heard it from his staff, and we live in Surin.

I would not call that going "unexpectedly but peacefully", hmmmmmm!?

NS

Met him quite a few times. Nice chap. RIP
