Already in force from what I see daily. Deep south is anything south of a line drawn west to east through the centre of BKK.

Yes, that is going to put an end to all the unrest as militants on both sides wipe themselves out in traffic accidents....

staying in the not so deep South at the moment. Can someone explain me what a motorcycle helmet is?

And if the 5 year old that races with 80 km/h has anyway a too small head to fit into a helmet....

Thainess, personified!

Yes, and this will be duly covered in the new Thainess classes being set up by the TCT. Sharpen your pencils!

no helmets I think the "hells angels" will make that place headquarters

was riding in a motorcycle wearing motorcycle helmet

or

was riding on a car wearing a seat belt...

in and on really difficult for Thai....

Genius

Damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

<At police checkpoint>

"Why you wear helmet? 400 baht fine."

<Motorcyclist removes helmet>

"Why you no wear helmet? 400 baht fine. 800 baht total. You free go rest of day."

Yeah! This is gonna work out dandy!

Genius

Safe 10 lives from bombing.. but 100 more killed because of traffic accidents.. hmmm

You may reconsider your numbers. You think there are even 100 wearing a helmet?

...actually Gov.... only being allowed completely naked into the towns and cities in the deep south would totally solve the problem....no more strapped on suicide bombers......no grenades in pockets...pen guns...no more knives...zilch concealed weapons.....

......now I must send this suggestion to TAT it could boost tourist numbers considerably...they have been devoid of ideas for the past 2 hours...

Ahhh, but then you forget the 1.2 bn Thai baht populace 'Mega-project' stipend for SPF 40+ sunblock.

They just need to enforce the tinted shield and windows on cars. beatdeadhorse.gif WHAT THE HELL !!!!!!

They drive with 300 baht Big C helmets so it doesnt matter if they remove them , their skull will be destroyed in any high speed accident anyway,

Anyone involved in an accident not wearing a helmet should take the local authorities to court.

Clever. After 10 years meandering through one of the world's least effective judicial systems, and 5 million baht paid to a legal team, to convince them to stick with you for that long, it will either be thrown out or you will not win an award. There is little here in the way of consumer protection, nor liability laws.

Good job the perpetrator wasn't hiding under an umbrella!

So....lets see....the terrorist who is going to bomb, kill and mutilate is going to obey this new law and not wear a motorbike helmet. What about ski masks? I see people wearing them all the time here, is there going to be a law against those also?

Is this the same governor, whose's family was locked in the car, and he forgot the key in the ignition?clap2.gif
