macapie
Not normally a Thai Basher, but in my 10 plus years here, I find that " Principle " from Thais in general, do not adhere to. Without it you have nothing, ( my opinion only )

rametindallas
Oxford Dictionaries defines integrity as "the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles". In essence, a person with integrity is a person who puts principles first. This goes strongly against the deeply ingrained culture of 'relationships are more important than what is right'. Thais put relationships first. In Thailand, if you want to know who your true friends are, call them at 3 a.m. and tell them you accidentally killed someone and would they please come over and help you dispose of the body. Your true friends will come over and you not-so-true friends will decline. Loyalty is far more important in Thai culture than any notion of what is the 'moral' thing to do.
