Report Malaysian Man Claims Thai Ex Swindled 4 Million Baht
Photo via Kalasin News In a dramatic case unfolding in Thailand's Isaan province, a 27-year-old Malaysian, known only as Yap, has accused his Thai ex-girlfriend, Pornnapha, of swindling 4 million baht (approximately 3.8 million Thai Baht) and assaulting him and his current partner. Yap spoke to local media outlet Kalasin News, urging authorities for justice after a recent altercation in Kalasin. Yap alleges that he and his current Thai girlfriend were confronted by Pornnapha and an accomplice at a barber shop on 2 August. According to Yap, Pornnapha saw his car and approached them aggressively. Yap claims she punched him in the face and grabbed his collar, resulting in scratches. He alleges that such violent encounters were a regular occurrence during their relationship. Beyond the physical assault, Yap accuses Pornnapha of convincing him to invest in a series of failed business ventures, persuading him to purchase items like a car before kicking him out of their home. Yap has filed a complaint at Mueang Surin Police Station and insists that a fraud case is in progress, pressing authorities to address the matter swiftly. Journalists reached out to Pornnapha, seeking her side of the story. Initially, she declined to comment but later spoke to Channel 3’s Hone Krasae programme. She refuted Yap's claims, providing a contrasting narrative. Pornnapha recounted meeting Yap at a Malaysian nightclub, where their relationship commenced and later led to joint business efforts in Kalasin. She admits the first venture failed, but insists Yap voluntarily funded each attempt, contributing between 100,000 and 200,000 baht at various times. Records of these transactions, she claims, are not available. Disputing Yap's version of events, Pornnapha asserts that she never forced him out of their residence. Instead, she claims Yap left because he was involved with someone else, highlighting his jealousy as a critical issue in their relationship. Regarding the recent legal action, Pornnapha expressed surprise at Yap’s fraud allegations but stated her willingness to comply with court proceedings and repay any determined amounts. Admitting to a single physical altercation, Pornnapha said it stemmed from a refusal to engage in an intimate encounter with Yap, rejecting claims of a pattern of violence. Concerning the barber shop incident, Pornnapha admitted to attempting to confront Yap’s new girlfriend, alleging provocation through online insults directed at her family. As legal inquiries continue, the situation remains unresolved, with no final word on the progress of Yap's claims in court. Adapted by ASEAN Now from The Thaiger 2025-08-07 -

Interesting how when Israel has a bone to pick they complain to UN but when there’s a complaint against them they dismiss it, label it as antisemitism, bring out oct7 and ww2, etc. they should be kicked out of the UN. -
