Thailand clarifies issues on human-trafficking measures
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Thailand submitted an annual report on Trafficking in Persons (TIP) to the United States and other states in late January - but the report had yet to reach the EU due to courier procedure delays, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai.

As a result, members of some of non-government groups (NGOs) had written articles based on old data, resulting in misunderstandings, he said.

Thailand had now clarified and corrected these mistakes.

Don affirmed the government's continued efforts to eradicate human trafficking had received cooperation from the public and private sector, as well as NGOs. He said the government was gathering additional information for a final submission on March 31. He said the situation had improved and many parties were paying attention to this national issue.

Yes, lets start with prosecuting the NGO's who are fibbing the figures & making up unfounded stories to justify their jobs.

"the report had yet to reach the EU due to courier procedure delays"

and just whose fault is that? The NGO's? No flights to Europe? PUH LEEZE! Brought to mind the "courier problem" with declaration of war against USA during WWII, which was not delivered. If no new data is given, use the old data. Seem to be in no big hurry to spread the "good news".....
