Went to the harbour at Bhoput last week and noticed the 3 or 4 storey blocks of apartments going up there.

I thought that there were supposed to be restrictions on building heights close to the beach?

It looks awful and will contribute further to the destruction of what was once a charismatic little fishing village. The street adjoining will now be plunged into a permanent gloom.

I know I am being naive but really, how does this type of building get through the planning process?

Gatorade,of what I understand, some areas you are allowed to build multi stories close to beach.Ban hua thanon,Thongkrut,Bophut& Nathon.
